Podem operates the largest European production facility for electric wire rope hoists and has delivered more than 2,000,000 units worldwide, establishing itself as a trusted global supplier since 1961. Backed by decades of engineering expertise, Podem designs hoists that deliver high durability, reliable operation, and long service life across a wide range of industrial applications.

Podem’s wire rope hoists are available in three main series to cover most lifting requirements:

• MTM (MT) Series – The core range for 1–10 t capacities and up to 26 m lifting height.

• M Series – Heavy‑duty hoists for 8–50 t capacities and up to 52 m lifting height.

• MTL Series – Designed for very high lifting heights up to 56 m, with 2.5–5 t capacities.

To match different crane configurations, Podem offers stationary, normal headroom, low headroom, and double‑girder trolley suspensions, all adjustable for beams from 130–300 mm.

The company provides a wide selection of reeving options (1:1, 2:1, 4:1, 4:2, etc.) to increase lifting capacity and optimize lifting height and speed. True vertical lift (4:2) is available for precise, sway‑free positioning. Custom reeving solutions can also be engineered upon request.

Every Podem hoist is equipped with high‑tension galvanized wire ropes with a steel core and minimum tensile strength of 2160 N/mm², ensuring exceptional resistance to corrosion and wear. All ropes comply with EN 10244‑2 Class B standards.

Podem uses cylindrical lifting motors as standard, with conical motors available for 5 t and 10 t models. Custom motor options include forced cooling, higher IP ratings, and additional brakes. For lifting control, customers can choose between two‑speed operation or advanced VFD and Adaptive VFD systems, which provide smoother handling, reduced brake wear, increased safety, and improved overall performance.
